After Leaving Your Appointment

  • Keep the treatment area clean as it heals

  • Use ice to relieve soreness

  • Temporary bruising, swelling, tenderness, or warmth are normal

  • Tingling and numbness of the area is also normal, and may last as long as the pain relief

  • Avoid exercise or strenuous activity for 5 days

During The Procedure

  • The treatment area (knee and thigh) will be cleaned and marked

  • Your doctor will numb the area using a cold spray

  • A small injection of local anesthetic will then be given

  • Our licensed, experienced anesthesiologists (medical doctors) use an ultrasound (a painless type of camera) to identify the nerves that cause knee pain

  • The procedure is performed with some pressure and minimal discomfort, but no pain
